Why call us Kanga Training?

A Kangaroo is an intelligent mammal who possesses situational awareness, protects the “mob,” and will avoid conflict. If forced to, a Kangaroo will concisely and effectively employ its weapons in self-protection.

What do we believe? 

At kanga Training we believe that a properly delivered Concealed Firearm Permit course achieves everything from increased situational awareness, to increasing your freedom of choice to enjoy the world around you through the security provided by your ability to protect you and your family.

A well-structured course should make you think about when you personally will reach that trigger point where you will protect your life with deadly force, and mentally prepare, and intellectually provide you the knowledge in the law to know in your gut that you are doing the right thing, and at the right second, and are clear of any attached liability. It is only those who have sadly faced such decisions who possess the deep personal understanding of this decision. You can learn about it from books, then teach from theory, or you have had to live it, live with your decisions, knowing that you made the right choice.

The founding of Kanga Training.

Kanga Training Las Vegas was founded, and is run, by a female former law enforcement officer, who is still employed in public safety at a major Las Vegas venue. She has combined a career in government public safety, with a career as a college faculty head, and public safety trainer. Her unique combination of skills and experience has provided many clients with a unique and memorable experience, based on the reality of walking the walk, rather than those who just talk the talk.

Kanga Training grew from the vision of the founder to fill a gap in the Las Vegas Concealed Firearm Permit, NRA Firearm Training, general firearm training, and self-defense training industry for highly engaging, entertaining, humorous, unintimidating, differentiated and inclusive, student led and responsive training, where no student would lack confidence in asking questions, or fail to become fully engaged and involved in the classroom.

The specialization of Kanga Training.

Kanga Training offers clients Multistate Concealed Firearm Permit (CCW) instruction, Casino security team and corporate training in excess of Gaming Board requirements, NRA and other firearms instruction courses, and self-defense instruction.

Kanga Training specializes in small groups or family units, a training you in your home option, as well as groups of up to 10 clients at partner ranges and venues. This allows us to provide a quality experience in a relaxed and luxury setting. These venues include or have included the Lake Las Vegas Sports Club and Green Valley Range.
