The Fundamentals of firearms, safety, shooting & accuracy.

For individualized training/coaching on the range, or coaching on any firearm, our fee is between $40 and $50 per hour. This coaching or training is conducted by either a male or female instructor (client choice), or both, and is in a supportive, non-intimidating, and humorous learning environment. Our concept is that you learn if you enjoy!

Range fees and ammunition (other than small calibers, which are provided as a courtesy) is charged as an extra, or you can bring your own. We do not charge retail for ammunition. We order in bulk, so if you use ammunition with us, you pay a price less than obtaining the same ammunition in a shop! That saves you money! We work with both indoor and outdoor ranges to ensure any experience is tailored to your particular learning/training needs.

Group coaching or bespoke days at the range! (Fundamentals of handgun/shooting/defense in the home/tactical shooting).

For individualized group training or coaching on any firearm, our fee per hour is dependent on the number of friends/family in your group. A good example would be a group of four undertaking two hours training on an outdoor range, supplying your own pistols, would cost approximately $160 ($20 per hour, per person). We work with both indoor and outdoor ranges to ensure any experience is tailored to your particular learning/training needs. This coaching or training is conducted by either or male or female instructor, or both, and is in a supportive, non-intimidating, and humorous learning environment. Our concept is that you learn if you enjoy! If you enjoy the experience with your friends or family, it becomes an experience you will all remember!

Nevada and Multistate Concealed Firearm Permit (CCW) Classes.

The Kanga Training CFP (CCW) course is divided into three parts to maximize the client learning experience.

Learning is achieved through video presentations, scenario videos from police and public safety training, debate, a Powerpoint slide show, humor, the inclusion of everyone, within a non-threatening, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The day is a non-stress day! There are two instructors for the range element at the end of the day to ensure you enjoy the experience, and obtain any advice and coaching you may wish.

Reviews of the day on social media illustrate how enjoyable and how fast the day passes. Group CFP classes run at least twice a month, or we come to you inside the comfort of your own home. We also undertake private small group bookings, either in our classrooms or at your chosen location.

Part 1. Awareness, mindset and the law.

  • Creating and maintaining mental awareness and a defensive mindset. Avoiding the encounter is always your best bet (for example, do you back into the parking spot when grocery shopping?)

  • How to avoid situations, de-escalation and surviving an encounter. The instructor experiences of policing, and surviving deadly encounters, leads to interesting discussions of the long term effects of being a survivor. Police training videos, and stories from local news, allows us to examine shoot/don't shoot scenarios, debate, and respond to ensure everyone has their individual questions answered.

  • Federal and State law in firearms and self-defense. Due to the experience of the lead instructor, Kanga Training extensively covers the legal aspects of firearm law and self-defense far more than required by the Nevada Sheriff’s and Chief’s Association. For example, we differentiate between the three forms of self-defense under Nevada law, as defense with a firearm is rarely the only option. The outcome for you is the in depth knowledge of the law, and the possible outcomes of your self-defense decision, to give you the confidence to confidently use self-defense to protect you, or another.

Part 2. Firearm Knowledge, Safety and Techniques of Shooting.

  • Firearm knowledge and Safety. Firearm cleaning, storing, and other aspects of wider safety when handling firearms, shooting and at the range.

  • The shooting fundamentals and techniques of shooting and effective self-defense. For example, aiming, breathing, trigger control.

Part 3. CFP (CCW) Range Qualification.

  • The range qualification required by the Nevada Sheriff’s and Chiefs' Association. Kanga Training provides complete student support on the range. There are two instructors to assist you with individual needs to ensure you gain the maximum positive experience and enjoy it. We do not yell, scream or turn into the second invasion of Normandy! What we do is provide quiet, supportive, humorous assistance and personal coaching on the range to ensure the most rewarding experience for the student.

  • Please check our reviews on Google or our Facebook pages to see our commitment to outstanding learning, in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.

Length: 8 Hours Cost: $130 inclusive.

(NO HIDDEN FEES! Multi State, use of .22 firearms, ammunition, documents and more. Bring your sense of humor, relax, participate and enjoy the experience!)

When do we run classes? Classes are normally run every weekend, on either a Saturday or Sunday. Please check the calendar. On weekdays we undertake individual or group firearm training (for example, beginners). Group CFP (CCW) bookings can be done on a weekday if there is a group of six or more (and in your home or chosen location), and with a minimal 7 days notice.
